Abzan vs Jund

Well I am back again with my latest article. I am going to break down two decks that has become among the most recognized decks within the modern format. The two I will be looking over is none other than Jund and Junk, Abzan for the newer players. Both decks run a Green, Black, X color scheme for Jund the third color is Red, while Junk’s third color is White. Both are a green, black shell how different can they be in the metagame?

So I am going to start one deck at a time and post some recently winning decks from events.

As you can tell nine of thirteen decks are aggro. Eight of them do a massive amount of damage to your life points and with the efficient life gain and spot removal that Junk offers where Jund only offers spot removal I have to say that Junk is similar but a better deck within this metagame. Perhaps once Kaladesh settles down and even the new set is released perhaps the meta will slow enough to put Jund back where I think it can be a better deck than Junk; however, I don’t even see this happening until they unban Bloodbraid Elf.
